The Mubadala Excellence Program announced the addition of Emirati competitor Alia Abdulsalam to its roster of innovators, continuing her journey in the world of powerboat racing and achieving further success.
In press statements, Alia expressed her happiness at joining the program, saying that her main goal is to empower the next generation of Emirati girls to pursue their passions, regardless of the challenges. Through this partnership, she is gaining a broader perspective and developing her skills with the help of experts. She also expressed her pride in the trust Mubadala has placed in her.

She added that she hopes this experience will encourage girls to enter the world of motorboat sports, contribute to motivating young people to innovate, and raise the UAE’s flag high in marine sports. She expressed her pride in Mubadala as her main partner in this journey.

The Mubadala Excellence Program is a community initiative that aims to support talent across the country in the fields of sports, arts, culture, and innovation. Mubadala is also joining as a principal partner of the Formula 4 World Powerboat Championship for the 2025 season.

Alia’s participation marks a significant moment in the history of women’s sports in the country, as she is the first Emirati woman to participate in the Formula 4 World Championship, representing the UAE in upcoming races in Sweden, Norway, and Italy.

Through the program, Alia receives the necessary support to pursue her passion. Launched in 2021, the program seeks to empower creative individuals and unleash their potential in various fields, while enhancing meaningful community impact as part of Mubadala’s commitment to nurturing local talent.

Alia grew up in an inspiring sporting environment, influenced by the career of her father, Abdulsalam Fayrouz, a former motorboat champion. She was drawn to the sport from a young age, and she continued to progress, overcoming challenges to prove her worth locally and pave the way for international success.
